7th Grade Parents and Students: There is a major change to the curriculum for 7th grade this year. We are rolling out the new science standards called the Next Generation Science Standards or NGSS (nationwide), or the Nevada Academic Content Standards or NVACS (locally). Along with the new standards, as a district we are moving to teaching earth science, life science, and physical science standards each year from 6th grade through 8th grade. 7th graders this year will get a taste of some of each content area. Next year, as 8th graders, we will have a different focus for each of the content areas. You'll find links to much of what we are doing in class below and a running calendar to the right that will be updated frequently.
